Richmond House School is a warm, happy community. The Parents’ Association plays an integral role, enhancing our school’s spirit by hosting events which bring us together socially and raising funds to pay for items of benefit to the children.
Several fundraising events are held over the course of the year with the proceeds put back into school through items deemed as non-curricular; that is, objects, equipment, or excursions that the school is not responsible for through its budget but those which will enhance our children’s’ learning experience none the less. Our adventure playground, yurt and secret garden, are just some of the items the PA have funded in the past.
Annual fundraising events include a Christmas fair, school discos, spring ball and summer fair. We also hold ad-hoc events during the year such as film nights and social events, and sell second-hand uniform throughout the academic year to encourage recycling and to help our parents to save money.
All events are advertised on the weekly school newsletter.
Each class has a Parent Representative who is available to answer any questions, help with organisation and to be a friendly face to new parents.
