Congratulations to Richmond House School alumni, Sian Kelly, on making her full international debut for England Badminton at the European Mixed Team Championships Qualifiers in Milton Keynes! Sian played women’s doubles against Israel, securing a win and helping the team to a 4-1 victory. With wins against Austria and Poland, Team England qualified for the Finals this month!
Sian shared her excitement: “I am honoured to have received my first senior national team cap. Caps are hard to come by as team events only occur once a year, and this is the only opportunity to earn them. It has not been a straightforward journey to this moment by any means, but I’m beyond grateful, and proud, to have had the opportunity to achieve this career goal and to have helped the team to a 4-1 victory on the day! It was nice to be receiving my first cap in England as it meant my parents could come and watch. My family are my biggest supporters, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them! Big thanks to everyone who has supported me and my career to this moment.”
Sian attended RHS until 2012, and we are all so proud of her achievements. Congratulations once again, Sian, from the entire Richmond House community!
