We are delighted to announce that Miss Ella Pownall will be joining our SEND team with immediate effect. Miss Pownall has been appointed to the role of Speech and Language Support Lead. In her new role, Miss Pownall will work closely with teachers, parents, and external specialists to support pupils with communication difficulties. She will focus on assessing speech and language needs, developing tailored intervention plans, and delivering targeted support to help improve communication skills.
In addition, Miss Pownall will provide guidance to staff and parents, connecting them with resources and strategies to foster language development both in the classroom and at home. Her aim is to ensure every pupil has the tools they need to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Miss Pownall and the EYFS team completed a dedicated learning module to ensure the recommended strategies are tailored to Richmond House School and actively implemented in the classroom.
Miss Pownall delivers highly tailored lessons that brings phonics alive for children. She is passionate about supporting those who find the learning environment challenging and is keen to deepen her understanding of dyslexia to provide even greater support.
