We are thrilled to unveil the transformation of our beloved Red Brick Pavilion, completed over the Christmas holidays. This space, integral to our wraparound care and Holiday Club provision, has been completely refurbished to better serve our pupils and their families.
The main room has undergone a stunning makeover with brand-new flooring, providing a warmer, more welcoming environment. The space has been freshly decorated, fitted with new furniture designed to suit children of all ages, and stocked with updated, modern resources. These enhancements include engaging, developmentally appropriate activities to ensure children continue learning and having fun.
A significant improvement is the relocation of the main entrance. A new door and ramp have been installed, along with a wider, more accessible pathway. This change has allowed us to repurpose the former entrance space, adding a walk-up changing table for younger pupils. The new entrance design also improves safety and supervision, enabling staff to greet parents while maintaining full visibility of the children. Additional upgrades include new entrance matting and refreshed flooring in the toilet facilities.
The Red Brick Pavilion plays a vital role in Richmond House School life, enabling us to offer exceptional flexibility for our busy families. From 7:30am pre-care, complete with a breakfast offering, to after-school care running until 6:00pm, the Red Brick Pavilion ensures the fun and learning never stop.
Headteacher Mrs Young shared her enthusiasm for the refurbishment: “We are so excited to see our pupils enjoying this revitalised space. It’s more welcoming, functional, and inspiring than ever before – a true reflection of the care we provide here at Richmond House School.”
A special thank you goes to our Estates Team for their outstanding decorating skills and for assembling all the new furniture, and Miss Whike for curating and updating our fantastic range of resources. We are so proud of the teamwork that has made this transformation possible!
