We are delighted to announce the appointment of Miss Hayley Barnes as the Designated Wellbeing Lead at Richmond House School. In her role, Miss Barnes will work closely with Headteacher Mrs Young and our dedicated pastoral team to support the emotional and social wellbeing of our pupils.

Miss Barnes’ responsibilities include developing and implementing tailored wellbeing programs that provide individualised pastoral care, ensuring every child feels supported and valued. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies, Miss Barnes will help maintain a nurturing and inclusive school environment where the health, happiness, and safety of all pupils are a priority.

Miss Barnes will also offer one-on-one and small group support, delivering initiatives that promote resilience, self-esteem, and positive relationships throughout the school community. We are thrilled to have her in this vital role and look forward to the positive impact her work will have on our pupils and their families.

Miss Barnes shared her thoughts on her new role: “Having worked at Richmond House for 19 years and across all age groups within the school, I feel privileged to take on this new position. My counselling training has given me valuable tools to enhance children’s wellbeing and meet their individual needs. I believe that empathy and targeted support can help foster resilience and confidence in every child. I’m excited to begin this journey and contribute to the continued growth and happiness of our pupils.”
