At Richmond House School, we are proud to collaborate with Leeds Beckett University and the University of Leeds to host student teacher placements and PGCE students each year. This partnership provides aspiring educators with invaluable classroom experience under the mentorship of our seasoned educators.
In turn, our school benefits greatly from the enthusiasm and fresh perspectives these future teachers bring. Over the years, several students from the program have been appointed as Class Teachers and Teaching Assistants, and become integral members of our teaching staff.
Our dedicated teacher mentors take great pride in nurturing the next generation of educators, providing them with the guidance they need to succeed. It’s always wonderful to receive feedback from our placement students, like this recent message from a trainee who completed their placement with us:
“I want to sincerely thank you for the opportunity to complete my placement at Richmond House. I’m truly grateful for all the support from your wonderful staff over the past seven weeks. Richmond House truly is a positive place to learn and grow as a trainee, and I hope to be a part of the community once again in the near future.”
This collaboration reflects our commitment to education at every level, inspiring both our pupils and the teachers of tomorrow.
