A huge thank you to the Richmond House Parents’ Association for their incredible generosity in funding brand-new basketball nets for our top playground! Until now, our pupils have been learning basketball skills but have yet to experience the thrill of performing a layup shot or seeing the satisfying sight of a ball dropping in off the backboard.
With these new nets in place, our pupils can hone abilities like Steph Curry and LeBron James and practice all the classic moves – from jump shots to slam dunks – right here at school. They will provide endless opportunities for our children to build confidence, fitness, and, most importantly, have fun. There’s no telling where this could lead, who knows, we may even have a future NBA star in the making!
This project was spearheaded by a Sports Prefect and a House Captain, who presented their vision to the Parents’ Association and highlighted the difference these nets would make for pupils across the school. Their enthusiasm inspired the Parents’ Association to generously fund this fantastic addition.
Reflecting on the project, the pupils shared, “We’re so excited to see the nets in place and hope all pupils will enjoy using them and developing new skills. It’s exciting to leave behind something we know everyone will benefit from.”
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our Parents’ Association for their ongoing support and dedication to providing new and enriching experiences for our pupils!
