We were thrilled to welcome Rob from BASC, who spoke to pupils in Year 4 during their Outdoor Learning lesson about conservation and protecting local wildlife. He presented various bird boxes and a bat box, demonstrating how to create their own. The pupils then split into groups to assemble their own boxes collaboratively. Once they completed their projects, Rob selected a tree, ensured it was positioned away from the wind by not facing west, and mounted the boxes. We eagerly anticipate seeing if any birds decide to nest there next spring!
