This week, Year 5 had a fantastic time during their trip to Cartwright Hall in Bradford, where they immersed themselves in a workshop inspired by the renowned Bradford artist, David Hockney. Exploring a variety of Hockney’s artworks, the children delved into his distinctive techniques and mediums, gaining valuable insights into his artistic process.
Following their exploration, the pupils had the opportunity to unleash their creativity by crafting their own iPad drawings, drawing inspiration from Hockney’s iconic style and subject matter.
It was a rewarding experience for our Year 5 pupils, allowing them to not only appreciate Hockney’s contributions to the art world but also to express their own creativity in meaningful ways.
